In Blue Iris When Using The Patrol Feature Will An Alert Stop The Patrol. Repeatedly seeing others seeking the installersetup for a previous version of Blue Iris and seeing as how this is an issue that keeps arising for others time and time again I figured Id be part of the solution. In Blue Iris all of my stationary Logitechs are set to trigger an email when motion is detected where masks and sensitivity can be carefully refined to block most moving branches and late afternoon shadows. Many cameras have an integrated mechanical system for adjusting the viewing angle and zoom known as Pan Tilt Zoom or PTZ for short. Heres what I did to get this working.
This property page allows you to enable Blue Iriss PTZ controls as well as control for other camera features such as focus brightness IR lights etc. Change to the PATROL installation directory cd OPTPATROLPATROL3 run the script to setup your environment. The PATROL Agent process is interrupted using the kill -9 command which forces the agent to stop. You can use the PATROL utility pconfig to stop the agent.
